Representatives of the public sector, government agencies and other stakeholders exchanged experiences and ideas aimed at ensuring full protection of children's rights and well-being in Ukraine.

The event was attended by Liudmyla Sirko, Deputy Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Yevheniia Mnyshenko, representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Alla Kotlyar, Head of the Family Strengthening Center of the International Foundation SOS Children's Villages Ukraine, Tetyana Matrofailo, manager of psychosocial support at the Rockada Charitable Foundation in Ivano-Frankivsk, Rostyslav Mykytyuk, director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for CSSFCY, and Terre des Hommes specialists Anton Bilyuk and Olena Yefymenko.

The participants discussed the most effective approaches to social support and psychosocial support for children in order to develop strategies and programs to improve their psychological state and adaptation.

"My topic today was 'An integrated approach to providing psychosocial support to children in war'. It is an integrated approach that can help provide children with comprehensive support, which should come from the family and the state, and can also be provided by specialists from humanitarian organizations," says Olena Yefymenko, coordinator of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) program at Tdh.

"This forum is very necessary for organizations that provide social support services and conduct various activities for children. My role in the forum is to talk about problems, ways to solve them and find common ground with other organizations. Because every child should feel like a child, not a little adult," says Rostyslav Mykytyuk, director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Social Services.

Together, we have identified ways for civil society organizations and government agencies to work together to ensure the best possible protection for children in Ukraine. Further exchange of experience and implementation of the best practices will help us to improve our work with families in the context of war and ensure that every child receives the support and safety they deserve.

We thank all the participants for their active participation and contribution to this important cause!

The event was held within the framework of the project "ProAction - Improving Access to Housing, Education and Quality Social Services for Children and Families in Ukraine", implemented by five partner organizations - Terre des Hommes Foundation in Ukraine, Charity Foundation "West Chance", Charity Foundation Smile UA, NGO "World in Colors" and the Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery with funding from the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France France Diplomatie.
